Full article: http://www.zaobao.com.sg/zlifestyle/trending/story20180124-829565 2018年1月24日 星期三 03:30 AM 文/叶晓虹摄影/陈来福来自/早报数码联合早报 狗年给宠物狗做新春造型,让狗狗漂漂亮亮迎接新年。宠物美容师陈伟伦因为爱犬在做美容时没有获得妥善照顾,而决定自立门户当起宠物美容师,细心照料狗狗的需要,向人们传递饲养宠物的正确信息。 狗年就要来临,人要梳妆打扮,身为“主角”的狗狗当然要打理一番,以新形象过年。上宠物美容院,从头修到尾,有专人为狗儿打扮。 本地Bubbly Petz宠物美容院创办人兼宠物美容师陈伟伦(30岁)接受联合早报访问时说,新春来临前,许多狗主会带宠物上美容院做造型迎新春。 要让心爱的狗狗在新春前扮美,须提早预约。陈伟伦透露,许多狗主早在半年前便开始预约,目前新年前周末的预约都满了。虽然生意大好,陈伟伦的宠物美容服务并不因新春佳节逼近,需求量高而起价。 拍摄当天虽然距离新年还有一段日子,陈伟伦和同事已开始忙碌,每天都有预约上门的狗主携带爱犬前来做造型。但他坚持一天最多为10只狗狗做美容,以提供最佳素质的服务。 陈伟伦说,在为宠物美容时,须先为狗狗剪脚指甲、修脚板毛、屁股毛、耳朵毛、清理耳朵。基本清理护理步骤做好后,再为狗狗冲凉,吹干毛发为狗狗修毛,最后才打造造型。 陈伟伦建议,宠物狗狗最好每隔两周修剪一次毛发,清理重点包括眼部和嘴的周围,以及脚毛的修剪。他指出狗狗活泼好动,常常到处乱跑,脚上的毛太多太长,特别是脚板缝间,容易夹带污物。接近眼窝的地方,如果毛太长容易扎到眼睛,影响狗儿视线,所以必须定期修剪。另外,狗狗嘴巴周围的毛若太长,容易沾染食物或口水而变黄,不易洗净,会影响狗狗进食,也会产生卫生问题。 美容师须得到狗儿信任 宠物美容步骤繁杂,做个美容要花多少钱,需要多长时间?陈伟伦说,一般收费$85以上,须花上两小时。要让狗儿乖乖坐两小时,让宠物美容师修毛可不简单,陈伟伦是怎么办到的?他说方法很多,最重要的是要了解狗狗的需要,另外也可通过触摸和呼唤狗儿名字等,来得到狗儿的信任。 他说:“有些狗狗非常抗拒洗澡或修毛,但面对不同个性的狗狗,宠物美容师须以冷静的态度对待,第二就是以纯熟的技巧帮狗狗服务,避免让狗儿受惊。有了稳定度和熟练技巧,狗狗就会信任你,放心让你触碰它。” 他补充,一名优秀的宠物美容师也应有耐心、爱心和尊重宠物,就像待人一样,这些态度都是狗狗可以感受到的。诚如他所开设的宠物美容院多年来坚持让宠物在无笼、无链的环境下美容。 原本在大学修读经济与金融系的陈伟伦,为何选择开设宠物美容店? 他透露,自己和女友八年前领养了一只西施犬Chocolate。一次送它去修毛后回到家,发现它不停地颤抖,甚至变得怕水。那次经验后,陈伟伦决定报读专业狗美容课程,亲自为爱犬美容。 传递饲养宠物正确信息 毕业后,陈伟伦将兴趣发展为事业,在女友和家人支持下开设Bubbly Petz宠物美容院。对他来说,他开设宠物美容店不仅是为宠物提供修剪毛发服务,也是为了向人们传递饲养宠物的正确信息。 针对网络上有许多狗主会为宠物狗狗染毛、做美甲等,陈伟伦并不反对,他认为狗狗染毛、美甲其实不影响狗儿健康,但他不赞同为宠物过分美容,例如:把狗狗整只染成粉红色或为狗儿打造过于花哨的造型,这会让狗狗受到不必要的瞩目。 如果来不及将狗狗送去做宠物美容,陈伟伦建议狗主可自己在家为狗狗做好清洁护理,并DIY新春造型。过年前帮狗狗洗个澡,将毛发吹干后用针梳梳理,再给狗狗戴个小毛夹、新春服装或可爱的缎带,就能让狗狗洋溢着浓浓的新春气息了!
